Identity security specialist CyberArk has introduced the CyberArk MSP Console, a new tool that enables MSSPs and MSPs to view and monitor customers using the CyberArk Identity Security Platform.
CyberArk MSP Console is designed to help security service providers deliver identity-based managed services “rapidly and efficiently," the company said. Emphasizing “high autonomy, low costs and low complexity,” CyberArk said the console drives more revenue by ensuring the security and compliance of their clients’ identities and how they are managed.
CyberArk MSP Console connects to CyberArk Privilege Cloud environments to aggregate data into a unified view, providing:
- Single-click access to all tenants and assets
- A consolidated location for account onboarding
- Centralized search of privileged accounts and the identities with entitlements to access them
- A view of activity related to access policy adjustments and credential rotation
- Unified privileged session audit and log overview
CyberArk Sails Along Identity Market Uptick
The identity-as-a-service (IDAAS) market was valued at $7.2 billion in 2023 by Global Market Insights, and is forecast for a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 24% between 2024 and 2032. Adoption of cloud services is a key driver for the market.
CyberArk's 2023 Identity Security Threat Landscape Report found that nearly one-third of companies believe that the security skills gap hampers their ability to defend against cyberattacks. That’s an indicator of why more and more small and medium-sized businesses are partnering with MSSPs and MSPs to reduce cybersecurity risk.
“The CyberArk MSP Console provides our MSP partners with the ability to scale their identity security services so more end-user organizations can ensure that every identity, both human and machine, is secured with the right level of privilege controls, at the right time,” according to Chris Moore, senior vice president of global channels at CyberArk.
CyberArk has 1,300 security-focused partners globally as well as an expanding ecosystem of approximately 170 MSSPs and MSPs engaged in the CyberArk Partner Network.
One partner company that has implemented the CyberArk MSP Console is Optiv Security, an MSSP Alert Top 250 MSSP.
“In today’s digitally interconnected world choosing the right MSP is anchored to selecting a trusted partner for your business journey,” said Micheal Steele, Optiv senior security operations manager. “The decision not only impacts the efficiency of your day-to-day operations but also your resilience against the ever-evolving cybersecurity threat landscape. By implementing the CyberArk MSP Console, we see significantly reduced maintenance time and speed of efficiency, allowing us to concentrate on bringing identity security benefits to each of our partnered customers.”
CyberArk Adds New Browser, Passkey Authentication
In March 2024, CyberArk released the CyberArk Secure Browser, an identity-centric secure browser providing enhanced security and privacy. Available to CyberArk Identity Security Platform customers, the browser safeguards the organization’s most valuable resources. The browser delivers a secure passwordless experience, easy access to privileged information and assets and help to prevent breaches resulting from cookie theft and session takeover attacks.
“The proliferation of SaaS apps, cloud-native resources and business-critical applications that are accessed from the browser introduce new and significant risks that attackers have been quick to take advantage of,” CyberArk CEO Matt Cohen said.
In November 2023, CyberArk released expanded passwordless authentication capabilities with new passkeys support. The feature enables its identity customers to accelerate passwordless adoption and reduce cybersecurity risk using passkeys to access apps and websites using strong authentication methods such as biometrics.
