1. Help for high-risk communities - The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has rolled out a new dedicated High-Risk Communities webpage with cybersecurity resources for civil society communities at heightened risk of facing digital security threats because of their work. Through the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC) and building on priorities advanced through the Administration’s Summit for Democracy, CISA developed this resource in collaboration with civil society organizations, government, and private industry partners to support these communities with their cybersecurity.
2. New CISA advisories - CISA has also advised the cybersecurity of some new security updates from Adobe and Fortinet to address multiple vulnerabilities.
3. Cyware lands Tallent - Threat intelligence management and response provider Cyware has appointed Stephan Tallent as the new head of MSSPs. Cyware says Tallent’s appointement will will fuel Cyware’s channel-first strategy. He brings with him decades of experience at companies that include High Wire Networks, Stellar Cyber and Fortinet.
4. Zero trust for government - Zero trust data security company Rubrik is rolling out a new offering for government customers to help them access new advanced features via Rubrik Security Cloud. The new offering empowers federal, state, and educational institutions to prevent malware reinfection with insights into the initial point, scope, and time of infection.
5. New partnership - Cybersecurity insights company LogRhythm will partner with RedLegg, a master provider of information security services. This strategic partnership aims to empower businesses with enhanced security capabilities through LogRhythm’s cloud-native SIEM platform, LogRhythm Axon.
6. New tool for on-premises DNS protection - Akamai Technologies, Inc. is launchingAkamai Shield NS53, a product that protects on-premises Domain Name System (DNS) infrastructure from resource exhaustion attacks. These attacks overwhelm servers to the point that they can no longer respond to valid DNS queries. The new offering complements Akamai Edge DNS, which is a comprehensive cloud-based DNS solution, and Akamai Prolexic, a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) protection platform for Layer 3 and Layer 4 attacks.
7. Cybersecurity IPO in planning stages - Israeli cyber security startup Claroty is preparing a possible U.S. initial public offering in 2025 at a valuation of $3.5 billion, the Calcalist financial daily reported. Without citing sources, the report said Claroty was currently valued at $2.5 billion and meeting with underwriters about an offering on Nasdaq or the New York Stock Exchange.
8. IoT XDR investment - XDR provider for connected vehicles and IoT, Upstream Security, has received an investment from Cisco Investments.
