1. Cyber Acquisition Closes: KnowBe4, a security awareness training and simulated phishing platform provider, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Egress, a specialist in adaptive and integrated cloud email security. By providing a single platform from KnowBe4 and Egress, our customers will benefit from differentiated aggregate threat detection to stay ahead of evolving cyber threats and foster a strong security culture,” KnowBe4 CEO Stu Sjouwerman said. 2. Investment Initiative for Startups: Bitdefender has launched Bitdefender Voyager Ventures (BVV), a new investment initiative dedicated to financing and nurturing the next generation of startups in cybersecurity. BVV has a global mandate, with an emphasis on Europe, and will focus on investment opportunities at the seed or Series A stage where it can act as either lead or co-investor, Bitdefender said.
3. AI SOC Solution Release: Intezer, a specialist in AI-powered technology for autonomous security operations, has launched Autonomous SOC platform enhancements for automated triage of SIEM alerts. The AI solution addresses resource challenges in security operations by automating the alert triage process to enhance efficiency and reduce the time to respond to security incidents, the company said.
4. Cyber Risk Offering: At-Bay, an "InsurSec provider for the digital age," has brought to market enhancements to its At-Bay Stance security solution, an integrated InsurSec platform designed to help mid-sized and small businesses address cyber risk. At-Bay’s Stance Exposure Management platform helps to proactively address 66% of the security risks that impact At-Bay’s policyholders, such as email security, remote access and misconfigured or unpatched systems, the company said.
5. Healthcare IT Solution: Anatomy IT, a platform provider for healthcare IT and cybersecurity solutions, has launched an expanded end-to-end cybersecurity product suite designed to safeguard healthcare delivery organizations from evolving and growing IT system threats. The Security Suite also supports provider organizations in qualifying for and maintaining cyber insurance coverage, the company said.
6. Threat Defense Release: Cyberint, a specialist in external cyber risk mitigation, has unveiled a series of platform updates aimed at bolstering client protection against external threats. Cyberint's platform innovations provide several new capabilities that support a range of strategic security initiatives, from regional threat landscape analysis and proactive threat hunting to executive-level risk reporting and continuous threat exposure management, the company said.
7. MDR for OT Launch: Critical Start, a managed detection and response (MDR) provider, is bringing to market Critical Start Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services for Operational Technology (OT). MCRR combines threat, vulnerability and risk monitoring so organizations can have a strategic, data-driven risk-based approach to their security program, the company said.
8. Identity Security Solution: Zero Networks, a provider of zero trust network security solutions, has added identity segmentation capabilities within its Zero Networks platform. This new identity segmentation solution stops privileged account abuse by automatically restricting access to operational needs only, the company said.
9. Hyperautomation Solution Debuts: Torq, a specialist in AI security hyperautomation, has unveiled Torq HyperSOC, a solution that harnesses the power of the AI-driven Torq Hyperautomation Platform to automate, manage and monitor critical SOC responses. It uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to initiate and accelerate security event investigation, triage and remediation at scale, deliver comprehensive case management capabilities and automate complex processes, the company said.
10. CISA Adds Vulnerability: The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has added one new vulnerability to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, based on evidence of active exploitation: CVE-2022-38028 Microsoft Windows Print Spooler Privilege Escalation Vulnerability. These types of vulnerabilities are frequent attack vectors for malicious cyber actors and pose significant risks to the federal enterprise, CISA said.
