Infosys and CrowdStrike partner on AI risks through Project QuiltWorks

The rapid discovery of millions of vulnerabilities by frontier AI models necessitates new industry approaches, leading to coalition-style partnerships like Project QuiltWorks. This initiative combines the detection capabilities of security platforms with the deep enterprise context provided by systems integrators, according to a recent report by Silicon Angle.

Infosys, a founding partner of Project QuiltWorks, contributes essential customer and enterprise context to CrowdStrike's security platform. This collaboration addresses the escalating challenges posed by AI in cybersecurity, characterized by increased velocity, volume, and the nature of vulnerabilities. Mayank Agarwal, vice president and head of cybersecurity Americas at Infosys, highlighted that AI compresses the time between vulnerability discovery and exploitation from hours to mere minutes or seconds.

Project QuiltWorks aims to provide a scalable solution for assessing and remediating these AI-discovered vulnerabilities. The coalition, which includes various technology and services partners, also serves as an onboarding path for new CrowdStrike offerings. Agarwal emphasized that despite technological advancements, core cybersecurity principles like zero trust and the CIA triad remain fundamental, applying to both humans and AI agents.
