Infostealing malware intrusions have compromised the U.S. military and defense sector, reports SC Media.

HudsonRock researchers said aside from compromising sensitive data from major U.S. defense contractors Boeing, Honeywell, and Lockheed Martin, the attacks have led to the exfiltration of U.S. Army and Navy personnel's login details, as well as the exposure of the FBI's and Government Accountability Office's investigative and cybersecurity staff.

Such a development was regarded by Jason Soroko, senior fellow at Sectigo, to be indicative of a systemic cybersecurity failure that should prompt the immediate adoption of zero-trust architectures, regular system updates and audits, and strengthened access controls and employee training.
