Zscaler, a cloud security company, and endpoint protection platform provider CrowdStrike have unveiled integrations designed to help their joint customers extend Zero Trust access from devices to business applications. The news comes after CrowdStrike in September 2020 acquired Zero Trust access provider Preempt Security for $96 million.
Organizations can use CrowdStrike Falcon Zero Trust Assessment (ZTA) in combination with the Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) cloud service, the companies said. Together, ZTA and ZPA enable organizations to securely access applications from any endpoint, regardless of user or location.
In addition, organizations can leverage the Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) secure Internet gateway in conjunction with the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, the companies stated. Together, ZIA and Falcon allow organizations to stop malware propagation on infected devices.
Organizations also can share Falcon X threat intelligence and Falcon Endpoint Protection device telemetry data with the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange (ZTE) cloud-native platform, according to the companies. This ensures that organizations can use Falcon and ZTE security data to increase visibility across their IT environments.
The aforementioned Zscaler-CrowdStrike integrations are now available. The companies previously announced an integration in September 2019 that lets organizations use Zscaler's cloud security platform with the CrowdStrike Threat Graph breach prevention engine for real-time threat detection.
CrowdStrike Grows Security Partner Ecosystem
Several cybersecurity companies unveiled CrowdStrike integrations in 2020, including:
- Malwarebytes: Released the Malwarebytes Remediation for CrowdStrike solution to help security operations centers (SOCs) identify and mitigate endpoint attacks
- SecBI: Announced an integration between CrowdStrike and its Universal XDR Platform for MSPs and MSSPs
- ControlScan, a PDI Company: Launched the MDR Essential managed endpoint security service, which combines ControlScan Cyphon threat intelligence with Falcon endpoint protection
CrowdStrike recorded $264.9 million in cybersecurity software revenue in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2021; this represented a 74 percent year-over-year increase. Furthermore, CrowdStrike's partner ecosystem grew 85 percent worldwide in FY21.
