Cequence Security has updated its Unified API Protection (UAP) platform to help organizations "manage risk and protect APIs," the company said.
The UAP platform now lets organizations deploy Cequence's API Security Testing module with built-in generative AI automation, the company noted. In doing so, organizations can protect their end-users from online fraud and operationalize their security findings with low-code/no-code workflows.
Cequence UAP Platform Users Can Automatically Generate API Security Test Plans
Cequence has announced an Intelligent Mode for its UAP platform that allows users to automatically produce API Security Test Plans using plain English, the company indicated.
Intelligent Mode automatically associates appropriate APIs with the right test cases, Cequence said. This reduces the time needed to create a test plan and ensures a consistent experience across a user's applications and environments.
Cequence Provides Insights into Test Failures, Fraud Prevention
Along with offering Intelligent Mode, UAP platform users now can access insights into test failures, Cequence stated. They can export test results to third-party systems for remediation and integrate them into various commercial continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) systems that are available out-of-the-box.
Cequence has also introduced a Fraud Prevention module in its API Spartan bot detection and mitigation product. This module enables organizations to protect their users from online fraud by blocking transactions involving suspected fraud. And it generates notifications to internal fraud teams about active fraud incidents, the company said.

Cequence Security Adds Funding, Looks to Extend Its Global Market Reach
The UAP platform updates come after Cequence in April 2023 received investments from the Hewlett Packard Pathfinder venture capital program and venture capital firm Prosperity7 Ventures. The investments are helping Cequence further enhance its UAP platform, the company noted.
Previously, Cequence in March 2023 appointed Glen Maloney as its country lead for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Maloney, who has more than 20 years of new business development and account management experience in the cybersecurity industry, is expected to help Cequence accelerate its growth in the ANZ region, the company stated.
A Closer Look at Cequence
Cequence offers its UAP platform to protect organizations against fraud, business logic attacks, exploits and data leakage, the company said. It secures more than 6 billion API transactions daily and more than 2 billion user accounts across its Fortune 500 customer base.
In addition, Cequence provides a partner program. MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers can join this program to use Cequence's UAP platform to protect their customers' APIs from cyberattacks and exploits, the company said.
