Check Point Software Technologies has integrated the Intel vPro platform's Threat Detection Technology (TDT) into its Harmony Endpoint solution, according to a prepared statement.
TDT is "specifically designed to detect ransomware and other advanced threats," said Carla Rodríguez, vice president and general manager of ecosystem partner enabling at Intel. When paired with Harmony Endpoint, TDT ensures that organizations can protect their endpoints at both the hardware and software layers.

TDT provides Harmony Endpoint users with "processor-level security that starts at the silicon level, Check Point vice president of Threat Prevention Ofir Israel said. It provides these users with anti-ransomware capabilities and helps them prevent cyberattacks and expand their organizations' attack surface coverage
Harmony Endpoint users can utilize TDT's artificial intelligence and machine learning to "analyze CPU telemetry and recognize ransomware encryption commands early in the attack flow," Check Point said. As such, TDT helps these users protect their organizations' endpoints against ransomware and other cyberattacks and improve their security protocols.
TDT for Harmony Endpoint will be available soon. Furthermore, Check Point indicated that additional TDT anti-ransomware capabilities for Harmony Endpoint will be announced "in the coming weeks."
Check Point Helps MSSPs Deliver SOCaaS, IR Services
The TDT for Harmony Endpoint news comes after Check Point in October 2022 unveiled an MSSP partner program for its Horizon security suite. MSSPs can join this program to deliver security operations center-as-a-service (SOCaaS) or new security services built on Horizon, Check Point stated. They also can utilize and provide co-branded versions of Check Point's Incident Response (IR) services.
Check Point recorded $578 million in revenue in the third quarter of 2022, which represented an 8% year-over-year increase. The company is "100% channel" and continues to explore ways to support MSSPs and MSPs.
