ConnectWise and Cylance each continue to expand their respective cybersecurity partner ecosystems -- and this time they're working with each other. Under terms of an agreement unveiled this week, the ConnectWise Marketplace now offers Cylance's AI-powered endpoint protection solutions.

The result: ConnectWise's ecosystem of more than 21,000 managed services providers (MSPs) and technology solutions providers can now leverage and integrate Cylance across ConnectWise Automate (for remote monitoring and management) and Manage (for professional services automation). The integrations include CylancePROTECT threat detection and CylanceOPTICS endpoint detection and response (EDR) technology.

Partner Ecosystem Expansions

Both companies have been expanding their strategic technology alliances and associated partner ecosystems.

Cylance in January integrated the Jask autonomous security operations center (ASOC) offering into its endpoint security platform. The integration enables the companies' joint customers to access Cylance threat event, alert, classification and audit logs via Jask, the businesses indicated. It also provides organizations with a single source for visibility across all data and assets and helps them simultaneously identify unknown threats and automate threat analysis.

ConnectWise, meanwhile, has been building and expanding its cybersecurity alliances network since mid-2017. Key partners and/or integrations so far include AlienVaultArctic WolfForesite, StratoZen -- and now Cylance.

Cylance Revenues Top $100 Million

Cylance could be gearing up for an IPO after it recorded 177 percent year-over-year revenue growth and surpassed $100 million in trailing 12-month revenue in 2017, based on generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), the company said. It accomplished this milestone approximately 39 months after it launched CylancePROTECT.

Furthermore, the has added to its executive team over the past few months. Some recent executive hires included:

  • Chris Scalan: In January, Cylance appointed Chris Scanlan as its SVP of North America sales. Scalan previously served as SVP of worldwide sales at cybersecurity solutions company Optiv Security.
  • Rahul Kashyap: The company in December named Rahul Kashyap as its global chief technology officer. He previously was served as EVP of products at virtualization technology startup Bromium and led worldwide threat research at McAfee Labs.
  • Brian Robins: AlienVault veteran Brian Robins in August joined as its chief financial officer.

Nearly 90 companies within the Fortune 500 leverage Cylance cybersecurity solutions. The company also has more than 3,800 enterprise customers worldwide.
