Blackpoint Cyber Introduces MDR Add-On Solution

Share

Blackpoint Cyber, a managed detection and response (MDR) services provider, has announced the Blackpoint Logging with Integrated Compliance (LogIC) add-on solution.

LogIC is a self-service web application that lets end-users manage and customize all aspects of event and log collection, Blackpoint noted. It is designed to help MSSPs, MSPs and their customers satisfy compliance requirements.

LogIC lets users collect Windows Event Logs, Windows File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) and applications supporting general system logging protocol (syslog) in real time, Blackpoint said. All data collected with LogIC is tamperproof, resilient, encrypted (AES-256) and stored read-only in three different zones in accordance with various security mandates.

In addition, LogIC provides an intelligent auto-answer capability to provide answers or justifications relating to compliance standard requirements and controls, Blackpoint stated. It also allows users to export a compliance report for audits and assessments.

LogIC supports and maps to PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST 800-171 and CMMC (up to level 3) compliance frameworks. Blackpoint said it plans to add more frameworks for future iterations of LogIC throughout 2021 and 2022.

Blackpoint Cyber: MDR Focus Areas

Blackpoint offers an MDR service backed by its SNAP-Defense security operations and incident response platform. SNAP-Defense combines network visualization, insider threat monitoring, anti-malware, traffic analysis and endpoint security to help organizations identify and address cyberattacks.

Along with its MDR service, Blackpoint provides its RISK cyber liability solution. Blackpoint also offers an incident response service.

MSSPs and MSPs can join Blackpoint's MSProtect program to incorporate the company's services into their portfolios. The program lets MSSPs and MSPs deliver threat hunting, privileged account monitoring and other Blackpoint services.
