Continuum, a Top 200 MSSP for 2019, has integrated Fortinet managed detection and response (MDR) capabilities into its Fortify cybersecurity solution, according to a prepared statement. The news comes the day before Continuum's Navigate user conference kicks off in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
For its part, Fortinet is one of the top 10 most preferred technology providers to MSSPs, according to our Top 200 MSSP report for 2019.
The new Continuum Fortify solution automates correlation across security tools to help MSPs quickly identify cyber threats and disrupt cyberattacks faster than ever before, Continuum indicated. It offers a variety of security capabilities, including:
- Network and server log monitoring and correlation.
- Client value reporting.
- Office 365 and Windows domain monitoring.
Also, Continuum has announced Fortify for MSPs; this solution protects MSPs against cybercriminals who want to target and weaponize MSPs, the company said. The moves come as MSPs strive to lock down their own systems from attackers.
Continuum Opens Pittsburgh SOC, Expands Cybersecurity Services for MSPs
In addition to the integration of Fortinet MDR capabilities into Fortify and the launch of Fortify for MSPs, Continuum recently has made other moves to bolster its cybersecurity market reach.
Continuum last month opened a security operations center (SOC) in Pittsburgh. The SOC provides Continuum's MSP partners with access to certified cybersecurity talent, real-time threat detection and response and 24x7 security monitoring, the company stated.
Furthermore, Continuum in February introduced the Empower cybersecurity service for MSPs. Empower is a subscription-based service that provides MSPs with endpoint detection and network monitoring capabilities, up to two incident responses annually from Continuum's SOC and access to the Continuum Security Assess service.
Continuum Security Services for MSPs
Continuum was one of the first MSP platform providers to go all-in on security. The company unveiled various SOC-related services at the Navigate conference in 2017. Close cybersecurity relationships with Netsurion, SentinelOne and Webroot have also been in place. A tuck-in SOC acquisition, involving CARVIR, arrived in 2018. An expanded cybersecurity portfolio for MSPs arrived in February 2019.
Still, the company faces competition from a range of SOC as a Service (SOCaaS), regional and national MSSPs that have introduced partner programs for smaller MSPs.
