eSentire MDR Launches Microsoft Teams Cloud Automation Security Assistant

Share

eSentire, a Top 250 MSSP and Top 20 managed detection and response (MDR) service provider, has unveiled the Cloud Automation Security Assistant (CASA) for Microsoft security products, according to a prepared statement.

CASA is a self-service MDR tool that lets Microsoft Teams users manage security alerts, engage eSentire experts and launch automated threat configurations for Microsoft Cloud Application Security, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft Graph Security API, eSentire said. It runs on the eSentire Atlas Extended Detection and Response platform and aggregates and enriches alerts.

Other CASA features include:

  • Intelligent filtering to help Teams users prioritize security alerts
  • Threat intelligence to provide Teams users with security insights
  • Ability to connect with eSentire security analysts on-demand

CASA is available free of charge to anyone with a Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license, eSentire noted. It also can be deployed in less than five minutes.

eSentire Reports 'Record Growth' in 1Q20

The CASA news comes after eSentire reported "record growth" in the first quarter of 2020. Some of eSentire's performance results during the quarter included:

  • Nearly 100 percent year-over-year growth
  • Ninth consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth
  • 100 percent service availability via Atlas
  • 72 percent Net Promoter Score
  • Net customer retention of over 116 percent

In addition, eSentire reported a 134 percent year-over-year increase in new bookings in EMEA in 2019. The company drove over 70 percent of its EMEA sales through its channel-centric approach and indirect channel partners by the end of the year.

eSentire continues to expand its offerings as well. The company last year unveiled its esCLOUD portfolio, which provides continuous monitoring across cloud environments and automated policy enforcement and support from its security analysts. eSentire also incorporated CrowdStrike's endpoint detection and response (EDR) and next-generation antivirus (NGAV) capabilities into its MDR solution.
