Motorola Introduces System Security Solutions for Radio Networks

Motorola Solutions has unveiled a radio site video service and a KVL 5000 key variable loader for ASTRO 25 radio networks. The company announced the radio network system security solutions at this week's Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) 2019 conference in Baltimore, Maryland.

The radio site video service uses Avigilon cameras to secure remote sites from theft, vandalism or environmental dangers such as high-water levels, according to Motorola. It allows site owners and operators to record activities in and around the site and includes hardware, software and services.

Meanwhile, the KVL 5000 key variable loader secures communications on ASTRO 25 networks, Motorola said. It also features a touch-screen interface that allows users to generate, transport and load encryption keys into communication products.

Motorola's KVL 5000 key variable loader is now available, and the company's new radio site video service is expected to be available by the end of the year.
