Motorola Solutions Expands Managed Security Services, Penetration Testing for Public Safety

Motorola Solutions now delivers cybersecurity services to enterprises and public safety agencies, according to a prepared statement. The company's expanded cybersecurity services leverage recent acquisitions such as Delta Risk (a Top 250 MSSP) and Lunarline, a professional services firm with expertise in training, FedRAMP, penetration testing and third-party assessments.

Enterprises and public safety agencies can use Motorola's expanded cybersecurity services to protect their mission-critical operations against cyber threats and data breaches, the company said. They also can leverage the services to defend their networks, employees and assets against evolving cyberattacks.

In addition, Motorola's expanded cybersecurity services are backed by a 24/7 security operations center (SOC), the company noted. This SOC is staffed by a dedicated team of security experts who monitor cybersecurity events and detect and respond to threats.

A Closer Look at Motorola's Cybersecurity Services

Motorola offers cybersecurity services aligned with the National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST) cybersecurity framework, the company said. These services include:

  • Managed Security: Security monitoring, incident management and reporting, patching and threat detection and response to protect endpoints, networks and cloud applications and infrastructure
  • Advisory: NIST-based risk assessments and consulting, penetration testing, governance and compliance
  • System Recovery: Business continuity and incident response planning, system recovery and post-incident analysis
  • Cybersecurity Training: Certifications and training for cloud security, incident response management and risk management

Motorola is "serious about cybersecurity," VP of cybersecurity services Scott Kaine said. The company is committed to driving product innovation and is pursuing strategic investments as it explores ways to extend its global cybersecurity market reach.
