Netskope to Debut Endpoint SD-WAN Software at Upcoming RSA Conference

Netskope has brought to market its Endpoint SD-WAN software, providing "secure, optimized access to endpoint devices from anywhere," according to the company.

Endpoint SD-WAN offers remote workers the same level of application experience and security from their devices as they would receive in an office, Netskope said. It also allows organizations to eliminate the sprawl of multiple clients and point products and preserve their network performance at any scale.

How Netskope Endpoint SD-WAN Works

Endpoint SD-WAN is part of Netskope's Borderless SD-WAN portfolio and SASE platform, the company stated. The software-based secure access service edge (SASE) client blends SD-WAN and security service edge (SSE) capabilities. It also leverages Netskope’s Cloud Confidence Index (CCI) to assign smart defaults to applications.

Key features of Endpoint SD-WAN include:

  • Access to SD-WAN, Cloud Firewall and other Netskope security services
  • End-user experience troubleshooting and insights into traffic flows, policy violations and anomalies
  • Prioritization and path selection capabilities to connect voice, video and data applications

Commenting on the product release, Parag Thakore, Netskope senior vice president for Borderless SD-WAN, said:

“Organizations using outdated SD-WAN and security technology have realized they can’t patch their way to a better network, can’t prioritize or secure what they can’t easily discover, and shouldn’t rely on cumbersome SD-WAN architecture that wasn’t built for a highly distributed, cloud-centric workforce. That’s why Netskope Borderless SD-WAN and our unified SASE client offer unprecedented context-aware networking and security, revolutionizing the way organizations operate.”

Endpoint SD-WAN is now available, and Netskope plans to showcase the software and the rest of its Borderless SD-WAN portfolio at RSA Conference 2023, April 24-27 in San Francisco, California.

Netskope Announces Zoom, Stellar Cyber Integrations

The Endpoint SD-WAN launch comes after Netskope in March 2023 incorporated its Borderless SD-WAN and SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) solutions into the Zoom unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) platform. This integration allows organizations to use Netskope and Zoom technologies to bolster the user experience across Zoom Meeting, Zoom Phone and Zoom Room and comply with privacy and security regulations, the companies said.

Previously, Netskope in December 2022 integrated its SASE platform into the open eXtended detection and response (XDR) platform of Stellar Cyber, a Top 250 MSSP. In doing so, MSSPs can use Netskope's platform to generate insights into end-user traffic across custom apps and other sources and Stellar Cyber Open XDR to ingest, normalize and analyze security data, the companies indicated.

Netskope products and solutions protect organizations' cloud environments, data and networks. The company offers the Evolve Partner Program, which lets MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers integrate its products and solutions into their portfolios.
