NTT DATA, the systems integration division of Japanese telecommunications company NTT Group, has incorporated the Exabeam Security Management Platform (SMP) into its portfolio. The company will use SMP's security information and event management (SIEM) capabilities for data collection and cyber threat detection and response, according to a prepared statement.
SMP provides NTT with behavioral modeling, machine learning and analytics for insider and entity threat detection throughout the following regions:
- Asia-Pacific.
- Europe.
- Japan.
- North America.
Furthermore, SMP allows NTT's security teams to automate their incident response efforts, Exabeam noted. It also ensures that these teams can access a security data lake that stores all event logs.
SentinelOne, Exabeam Announce Partnership
In addition to the NTT DATA integration, SentinelOne last month incorporated the Exabeam SIEM platform into its endpoint security console.
MSSPs and MSPs can use the SentinelOne-Exabeam integration to automate incident response, according to the companies. They also can leverage the integration to identify cyber threats across all endpoints, as well as collect threat and incident data and consolidate this information with intelligence from other IT and security solutions.
Exabeam: Here's What You Need to Know
Founded in 2013, Exabeam offers security intelligence and management solutions to global organizations and looks poised to expand in the foreseeable future.
Exabeam intends to double its team in Germany and expand into the Nordic region, CEO Nir Polak said in October. It also is exploring SIEM market opportunities in Southern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
Previously, Exabeam in August raised $50 million in Series D funding. The company said it would use the funding to expand its cloud portfolio, sales and channels.
Cybersecurity Professionals Use SIEM to Reduce Security Breaches
Exabeam could capitalize on the rising demand for SIEM solutions among cybersecurity professionals, too.
Seventy-six percent of cybersecurity professionals said their organization's use of SIEM tools has resulted in a reduction of security breaches, a recent survey conducted by unified protection and threat management solutions provider AlienVault showed. Also, the AlienVault survey revealed 40 percent of cybersecurity professionals expect their SIEM technology budgets to increase over the next 12 months by an average of 20 percent.
NTT Data's sister business, called NTT Security, is a Top 100 MSSP.
