Sauce Labs and Sumo Logic have formed a joint initiative to help customers bolster the health and security of applications throughout the entire development lifecycle.
The new joint initiative, which builds on the companies’ established partnership, "empowers customers to view rich test data from Sauce Labs within Sumo Logic’s cloud-native, Continuous Intelligence Platform in order to make better, more informed decisions about the efficacy of their engineering and development processes," the two companies say.
Within MSSP (managed security services provider) circles, Sumo Logic is best-known as a cloud-based SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) provider. That SIEM software is gaining momentum with global systems integrators, MSPs and MSSPs, CEO Ramin Sayar asserted during the company’s quarterly earnings call with Wall Street analysts in December 2020.

The Sauce Labs-Sumo Logic relationship targets a slightly different use case -- helping enterprise software developers to find and remedy defects before deployment, according to Matt Wyman, chief product officer, Sauce Labs.
