Armis, a company that specializes in agentless device security, has named Tim Mackie as its worldwide VP of channel. Mackie is expected to help Armis drive the growth of its global channel partner program, according to a prepared statement.
Mackie most recently served as VP of worldwide channels and alliances at threat intelligence company Recorded Future. He also has held cybersecurity channel leadership roles at SentinelOne and Cylance.
Mackie will work with Armis partners to help them accelerate digital transformation, he said. In doing so, Armis partners will be well-equipped to capitalize on new market opportunities.
In addition, Mackie will explore ways to generate new lines of revenue with Armis partners across the globe, CRO Brian Gumble said. He also will help Armis continue to expand its channel presence.
A Closer Look at Armis's Reseller Partner Program
Armis launched its Reseller Channel Program in June 2020. The program is available to channel partners in North America, EMEA, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
Since its Reseller Channel Program's launch, Armis has signed 11 regional distribution partners and over 150 reseller partners globally, the company stated. It also has reported a 10X increase in new opportunities generated through its partner community.
Armis offers an agentless security platform for unmanaged and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the company noted. The platform discovers devices, tracks behaviors, detects threats, and takes action to protect organizations against cyberattacks.
Security information and event management (SIEM) platform provider Exabeam in July 2020 announced a partnership to provide an integrated solution that enables IT cybersecurity teams to identify and monitor the behavior of unmanaged and IoT devices. Also, private equity firm Insight Partners in January 2020 acquired Armis for $1.1 billion.
