Booz Allen Hamilton, a Top 250 MSSP, has appointed Andrew Turner as EVP of its global commercial business. Turner is expected to help Booz Allen's global commercial customers tackle cybersecurity challenges and drive digital transformation, according to a prepared statement.
Turner has more than two decades of cybersecurity industry experience, Booz Allen indicated. He most recently served as chief security officer at Fidelity National Information Services (FIS); in this role, Turner oversaw FIS's corporate security, business resilience and cyber and identity programs.
Prior to joining FIS, Turner was CSO at payment processor Worldpay (formerly Vantiv). Turner also has held cybersecurity leadership roles at Visa and Microsoft.
The Turner hire comes after Booz Allen in October unveiled its SnapAttack cloud-based threat intelligence and hacker detection solution.
SnapAttack enables red and blue teams to emulate cyberattacks from intelligence data, share security insights and obtain behavioral detection analytics, Booz Allen stated. In doing so, red and blue teams can use SnapAttack to validate their security controls.
