Malwarebytes has hired AlienVault and AT&T Cybersecurity veteran Mike LaPeters to lead the endpoint security company's channel initiatives -- including relationships with MSSPs (managed security services providers) and MSPs.
LaPeters played a key role in AlienVault's work with MSPs, MSSPs and recurring-revenue focused channel partners. He also worked closely with the broader AT&T Cybersecurity team once AT&T acquired AlienVault in August 2018. Earlier, he held key posts at a startup acquired by SolarWinds; a virtualization company; and a startup that worked with MSPs and MSSPs.
Meanwhile, AT&T Cybersecurity's executive ranks continue to include numerous channel experts. Chief among them is Marcus Bragg, AT&T Cybersecurity’s VP of sales. Bragg also is an AlienVault veteran. Earlier, he held key posts at ZenDesk, Oracle and RightNow.
Black Hat USA 2019
Bragg is expected to represent AT&T Cybersecurity at next week's Black Hat USA 2019 cybersecurity conference in Las Vegas. Similarly, LaPeters and Malwarebytes also are expected to attend the conference.
LaPeters' move to Malwarebyes was first reported by Channel Partners Online.
