Semperis, a cyber resilience solutions provider, has named Jared Vichengrad as its vice president of Public Sector.
Vichengrad is responsible for driving the adoption of Semperis' identity-first security solutions in local, state and federal government agencies throughout North America, according to a prepared statement.
Vichengrad has more than 20 years of cybersecurity and sales experience in the public sector. He previously served as head of State, Local and Education (SLED) sales at Rubrik, a zero trust data security company. Here, Vichengrad "built the company's Public Sector go-to-market program from the ground up," Semperis noted.
Semperis to Expand Its Public Sector Program
Along with appointing Vichengrad to vice president, Semperis intends to enhance its Public Sector program.
The expanded Public Sector program will "address the heightened need for identity-first security among state, local and federal government organizations," Semperis said. It furthers the company's mission to provide cybersecurity solutions and services to protect state, local and federal government organizations' hybrid Active Directory (AD) systems from cyberattacks.
Also, Semperis is committed to "doubling down" on platform innovation and broadening its offerings to meet the needs of public sector organizations, Vichengrad said. It will continue to look for ways to protect these organizations against ransomware and other evolving cyber threats.
Former CIA Director Joins Semperis' Strategic Advisory Board
Previously, Semperis in September 2022 added General David Petraeus (U.S. Army, Ret.), a former director of the CIA, to its strategic advisory board. Petraeus is helping Semperis bolster its identity threat detection and response (ITDR) solutions in the public sector, the company said.
Semperis offers the Forest Druid attack path discovery tool and other cybersecurity solutions and services to global organizations. It secured $200 million in Series C funding in May 2022 and looks poised to extend its reach in the public sector and other markets.
