BeyondID is offering support to organizations upgrading from Okta Classic Engine to Okta Identity Engine (OIE).
A BeyondID spokesperson, according to a prepared statement, commented on the implementation support and what it means for OIE users:
"This new offering from BeyondID will allow companies to reap the value of the Okta Identity Engine without spending time and resources on the migration process."
How BeyondID is Helping Organizations Upgrade to Okta Identity Engine
As an OIE implementation partner, BeyondID "facilitates a seamless upgrade from Okta Classic Engine to OIE and integrates apps and tools to ensure a higher adoption of new OIE features," the company explained. To do so, BeyondID provides on-demand knowledge and support to customers upgrading to OIE. In addition, BeyondID helps customers set up an on-demand support agreement, determine the level of service they need and migrate immediately.
Commented on how his company is helping organizations get the most value out of OIE, BeyondID CEO Arun Shrestha said:
"There is no one-size-fits all solution when helping companies prepare to upgrade to a new platform... As a trusted Okta implementation partner with hundreds of implementations under our belt, BeyondID has the experience and expertise needed to help customers successfully deploy and realize the many benefits of Okta Identity Engine."
A Closer Look at Okta Identity Engine
OIE lets organizations customize their Okta cloud components to satisfy a wide range of identity use cases, according to Okta. It utilizes customizable building blocks that support app-based user journeys rather than relying on predefined behaviors for identification, authorization and enrollment.
Meanwhile, OIE provides users with a consistent passwordless experience across their platforms and devices, BeyondID noted. It helps users keep pace with evolving digital identity and user experience requirements and adopt zero trust architecture.
Why Should Organizations Upgrade to Okta Identity Engine?
By upgrading to OIE, Okta customers can access passwordless protection, Okta FastPass phishing-resistant passwordless authentication and other security features unavailable with Okta Classic Engine, the company noted.
Okta has been gradually rolling out OIE to its customers, and customers can upgrade for free, the company indicated.
When an organization is eligible to upgrade to OIE, it receives a notification in the Okta Admin Dashboard, the company stated. An organization must complete several tasks to upgrade to OIE. Furthermore, Okta offers an FAQ to answer common questions about upgrading to OIE.
