Bitdefender has announced eXtended endpoint detection and response (XEDR) analytics and cross-endpoint security event correlation capabilities for its Bitdefender Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), GravityZone Ultra and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services.
XEDR can be used across Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems and public and private cloud and on-premise environments, Bitdefender indicated. It provides users with a real-time view of their security operations.
How Does XEDR Work?
With XEDR, organizations can leverage Bitdefender EDR and GravityZone Ultra to identify and stop the spread of ransomware, advanced persistent threats (APTs) and other cyber threats, Bitdefender noted. This helps organizations detect and resolve cyberattacks in their early stages.
Organizations also can use XEDR with Bitdefender MDR to gain insights into cyber threats and security incidents, Bitdefender said. In addition, organizations can leverage XEDR with Bitdefender MDR to accelerate threat validation, response and remediation.
XEDR is now available and included with Bitdefender's EDR, GravityZone Ultra and MDR services.
Bitdefender Introduces EDR Solution for MSPs
The XEDR news comes after Bitdefender in December 2020 unveiled an EDR solution that MSPs can use to help organizations improve their security posture. This solution lets MSPs leverage endpoint telemetry, human risk analytics and threat detection capabilities to identify vulnerable systems across their customers' on-premise and cloud environments, the company stated.
