Blueshift Cybersecurity, a security operations center-as-a-service (SOCaaS) platform and eXtended detection and response (XDR) service provider, and MSSP Service Provider Partners (SPP) are working together to deliver managed allowlisting capabilities across Windows, Linux and macOS-based endpoints and servers.
SPP will provide onboarding assistance and customer support with Blueshift's Protect Application AllowList solution, the companies said. Meanwhile, Blueshift will provide SOC monitoring for devices deployed with its Blueshift Protect zero trust application whitelisting solution.
What Application Allowlisting Means for MSPs
MSPs can integrate application allowlist solutions into their offerings "as a highly effective layer of zero trust cybersecurity for PC and servers," Blueshift noted. The solutions allow only trusted processes to run in various IT environments. In doing so, they reduce the risk of false-positive security alerts and the need for IT staff to create and maintain allow lists.
With Blueshift Protect, MSPs can add and manage new and recurring software, including individual files and processes, digital certificates and scripts, the company said. That way, they can deploy Blueshift Protect across customers' devices, groups and locations or multiple organizations in real time. In addition, MSPs can use Blueshift Protect to provide new services and drive sales and revenues.
Blueshift Adds $6 Million in Funding
The SPP partnership comes after Blueshift in April 2022 secured $6 million in a seed funding round. Blueshift is using the funding to bolster its sales, marketing and channel development efforts, invest in research and development and operations and expand its management team, the company said.
Blueshift offers an SOCaaS platform that organizations can use to monitor and secure their network data, devices and systems. The company launched its XDR service in February 2022 and continues to explore cybersecurity partnership opportunities.
