BlueVoyant, a Top 250 MSSP and Top 40 managed detection and response (MDR) security company, has acquired Conquest Cyber for an undisclosed sum.

The company also raised more than $140 million in Series E funding to accompany the acquisition.

The Conquest acquisition is technology M&A deal number 317 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2023.

BlueVoyant, founded in 2017, is based in New York City. The company has 607 associated members listed on LinkedIn. BlueVoyant's areas of expertise include digital risk protection, MDR and supply chain defense.

Conquest, founded in 2008, is based in Nashville, Tennessee. The company has 98 associated members listed on LinkedIn. Tessian's areas of expertise include cyber risk management and security posture management, detection and response.

What the Conquest Acquisition Means for BlueVoyant

BlueVoyant will use Conquest's SaaS cyber defense technologies to deliver solutions that organizations can use to assess, operationalize, verify and remediate risk, the companies said.

In addition, BlueVoyant will integrate Conquest's technologies into its products and services to provide "comprehensive internal and external cyber defense mapped to risk maturity," the businesses noted. BlueVoyant will also use Conquest's technologies to help organizations comply with CMMC 2.0 and other cybersecurity requirements.

Ernst & Young, Globeteam Partner with BlueVoyant

The Conquest acquisition comes after BlueVoyant in November 2023 announced a strategic partnership with EY. Together, BlueVoyant and EY enable their joint customers to build, operate and improve their services based on Microsoft 365 E5 security tools, the companies stated.

Previously, BlueVoyant in October 2023 partnered with Danish consultancy Globeteam to deliver security monitoring for Microsoft Security products. In doing so, BlueVoyant and Globeteam are strengthening the security posture of their joint customers, said Christian Rykov, BlueVoyant's sales director for the Nordics.

BlueVoyant offers cyber defense products and services that organizations can use to look for threats across their networks, endpoints, attack surfaces and supply chains. The company also provides a partner program for channel vendors.
