BT Group, the UK-based telecom giant and Top 250 MSSP, has unveiled the Eagle-i cyber defense platform. The goal: Enable customers to predict, detect and neutralize cyber threats before they cause damage.
Eagle-i uses artificial intelligence to provide real-time threat detection and intelligent and automated response, according to BT. The platform self-learns from threat intelligence, so it continuously refines how it protects organizations across their multi-cloud environments, the company added.

- Three Critical Partners: Fortinet, McAfee Enterprise and Palo Alto Networks.
- Three Strategic Partners: Cisco, IBM and Microsoft.
- Nine Ecosystem Partners: Check Point, CrowdStrike, F5, Forescout, Okta, Qualys, Netscout, Skybox, and Zscaler.
BT did not disclose which of the vendors, if any, were involved in Eagle-i's development and roll-out.
BT Invests in Cyber Risk Management Firm
The Eagle-i launch comes three months after BT invested in Safe Security, a cyber risk management firm.
With the investment, BT has exclusive rights to sell Safe's Security Assessment Framework for Enterprises (SAFE) platform to businesses and public sector bodies in the UK. It also has incorporated SAFE into its managed security services and is working with the company to develop future products.
BT provides managed security, threat intelligence and security consulting services. In doing so, BT helps global organizations comply with data security standards, guard against cyberattacks and deploy a zero trust approach to cybersecurity.
