The Cybersecurity and Information Security Agency (CISA), part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has released a guidance document specifically designed to help MSPs and small businesses with their cyber defense strategies.
Known as a CISA Insights document, this particular content is titled "Guidance for MSPs and Small- and Mid-sized Businesses."
The document "provides mitigation and hardening guidance to help these organizations strengthen their defenses against cyberattacks." The document surfaces less than two weeks after the REvil Ransomware gang attacked Kaseya VSA, a remote monitoring and management (RMM) software platform. The attack spread downstream to roughly 50 MSPs (managed IT service providers) and as many as 1,500 end-customer organizations, Kaseya has indicated.
The Biden administration said the attack did not impact critical U.S. infrastructure. But ChannelE2E believes otherwise.
