Cybereason Launches XDR Security Solution: Here’s What MSSPs Need to Know

Cybereason, an endpoint security solutions provider, has unveiled its XDR (Extended Detection and Response) solution to help global organizations detect and address network attacks, according to a prepared statement.

XDR combines endpoint telemetry with behavioral analytics, Cybereason stated. It leverages integrations with Okta, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other Cybereason partners to help organizations automatically surface anomalous user behaviors and insider threats and understand the story behind a security incident.

Furthermore, XDR correlates attack activity and presents the intelligence as malicious operation visualizations, Cybereason noted. This enables organizations to accelerate incident investigation and remediation.

Cybereason Unveils MEDR, Mobile MDR Services

The XDR announcement comes after Cybereason in August 2020 partnered with MSSP Deepwatch to deliver a managed endpoint detection and response (MEDR) service. The Cybereason-Deepwatch MEDR service offers threat detection and remediation tools to help security analysts and operations teams improve incident response and reduce mean-time-to-repair.

Furthermore, Cybereason in April launched a Mobile MDR service for workstations, laptops and iOS and Android devices. Mobile MDR uses machine learning and a big data architecture to connect events across the cyberattack lifecycle and performs behavior-based analysis to uncover suspicious activity like malicious mobile apps, abnormal north-south network connections and OS vulnerabilities.

Cybereason offers a Defense Platform that blends endpoint detection and response, antivirus and threat hunting to deliver context-rich analysis of every element of a malicious operation. The company also provides a breach protection warranty up to $1 million that covers zero-day, malware and ransomware attacks.
