Fortinet has acquired Opaq Networks, a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) cloud provider that promotes Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) cloud solutions to MSSPs. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Opaq Networks: Multi-Tenant Cybersecurity for MSSPs
Opaq's multi-tenant platform allows managed security services providers (MSSPs), carriers and telecom companies to protect everything from data centers to branch offices, to remote users, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, Fortinet asserts. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Opaq Networks raised $22.5 million in second round funding in 2018. The company built an MSSP and channel partner program, and also worked closely with Palo Alto Networks.
Opaq will align with Fortinet’s existing SASE offering. Various use cases, products and services will span next-generation firewall and SD-WAN capabilities, web security, sandboxing, advanced endpoint, identity/multi factor authentication, multi-cloud workload protection, cloud application security broker (CASB), browser isolation, and web application firewalling capabilities, Fortinet says.
