Google Cloud Security Command Center (SCC) is gaining multi third-party integrations -- including connections with Check Point Software Technologies and Capsule8. The moves come amid continued buzz from the Google Cloud Next 2019 conference, held earlier this month in San Francisco, California.
Check Point's integration involves the company's CloudGuard Dome9 Compliance Engine. Through the integration, partners and customers gain the ability to:
- Review compliance assessment results.
- Analyze and respond to security events.
- Identify security risks and gaps.
- Perform in-place remediation.
- Enforce compliance requirements.
- Verify compliance in audits directly from Google Cloud SCC.
Meanwhile, Capsule8, a company that specializes in attack protection for Linux environments, has announced a Security Partner integration with Google Cloud SCC.
The Capsule8-Google Cloud SCC integration delivers run-time protection across Linux production environments via the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Marketplace, the company said. It also detects and stops cyberattacks across GCP environments.

Google Cloud SCC is a security management and data risk tool for GCP resources. It enables organizations to prevent, detect and respond to cyber threats and identify misconfigured virtual machines, networks, applications and storage.
Google Cloud SCC beta tests began in December. Since that time, several cybersecurity companies have introduced Google Cloud SCC integrations.

Organizations can activate Google Cloud SCC via the GCP Marketplace. Google Cloud SCC is available free of charge, but organizations are billed if they upload more than 1 GB per day of external findings into the platform.
