GuidePoint Security, an MSSP in Herndon, Virginia, has released its penetration testing as a service (PTaaS) offering.

PTaaS combines traditional pentests with recurring, automated testing and continuous reporting and immediate results, GuidePoint noted. It identifies vulnerabilities to help organizations secure their applications and networks.

The PTaaS announcement comes after GuidePoint in September 2021 expanded its operations into Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Hawaii. GuidePoint also appointed information security industry veteran Martin Henderson as its SVP of Southwest to lead the company's expansion into these new markets.

Furthermore, GuidePoint in September 2021 launched its Ransomware Readiness Assessment service. Organizations can use this service to generate a risk-based analysis of their ability to respond to and recover from ransomware attacks, GuidePoint indicated.
