Ipswitch, a Massachusetts-based IT management software provider, this week unveiled the 2017 Plus versions of its MOVEit secure file transfer and WhatsUp Gold network monitoring tools at the Infosecurity Europe conference in London.

MOVEit 2017 Plus features multi-factor authentication capabilities, along with various enhancements designed to "simplify use, reduce implementation time and accelerate onboarding of new business partners," Ipswitch said in a prepared statement.

WhatsUp Gold 2017 Plus adds more flexible monitoring and visibility for the largest networks, according to Ipswitch. It delivers architectural flexibility with distributed monitoring capabilities, new managed service provider (MSP) capabilities and advanced real-time visibility features, Ipswitch pointed out.

Both MOVEit 2017 Plus and WhatsUp Gold 2017 are expected to be available this summer.

MOVEit 2017 Plus also will be available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace later this summer to help users implement MOVEit directly on the Microsoft Cloud Platform, Ipswitch stated.

In addition, Ipswitch plans to update WhatsUp Gold to enable monitoring of hybrid IT environments that use Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company said.

MOVEit and WhatsUp Gold: What You Need to Know

MOVEit ensures secure and compliant transfers of sensitive data to external partners and systems, according to Ipswitch.

WhatsUp Gold provides continuous network monitoring, Ipswitch stated. It enables users to monitor applications, network, servers, traffic flows and virtual machines (VMs) with one license, Ipswitch noted.

MOVEit 2017 Plus and WhatsUp Gold 2017 provide IT teams with new levels of security, functionality and deployment flexibility, Ipswitch Chief Product Officer Austin O'Malley said in a company statement.

Ultimately, the upgraded tools enable users to embrace "increasingly stringent data security and management controls for hybrid cloud and on-premise environments," O'Malley indicated.

What Is Ipswitch?

Ipswitch provides software that enables the delivery of 24/7 performance and security across cloud, virtual and on-premise environments, the company stated.

The business offers application and network performance management tools via IT vendors and partners, Ipswitch said, and supports more than 1 million users across 42,000 companies worldwide.
