1. Leadership Move: Cyberbit, a cybersecurity skill development platform provider, has appointed Caleb Barlow as CEO. Barlow is the former vice president of Threat IUntelligence at IBM Security and CEO of a publicly traded cybersecurity services company. Cyberbit’s former CEO, Adi Dar, who led the company since its foundation, will transition to the board of directors.
2. MSSP Partnership: Radware, a provider of cybersecurity and application delivery solutions, has signed a managed security service provider (MSSP) reseller agreement with Feenix Communications Limited, a multi-carrier telecommunications company providing solutions to the service provider industry. Feenix Communications will resell Radware’s application and network security solutions to its network integrator and internet service provider customers in New Zealand.
3. Data Breach: Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe LLP is investigating a data breach impacting the sensitive personal and health information of 2.2 million patients of Michigan-based McLaren Health Care. According to the company, an unauthorized party gained access to McLaren's computer systems between July 28 and August 23, 2023. On October 3, the cybercriminal ransomware group known as Alphv/BlackCat claimed credit for the data breach and boasted that it had stolen more than 6 terabytes of data.

Cyber Security Hall of Fame Inducts 3: Tenable, an exposure management specialist, announced that its founders, Ron Gula, Jack Huffard and Renaud Deraison, were inducted into the Cyber Security Hall of Fame during an awards gala on November 16. The organization recognizes exceptional individuals who have demonstrated unparalleled achievements and made significant contributions to the cybersecurity industry. Accordingly, the honorees are trailblazers whose groundbreaking achievements have left an indelible mark on the industry and played pivotal roles in shaping or educating the way we safeguard data, systems and organizations against evolving cyber threats.

6. Ransomware Incident: The Rhysida ransomware gang has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on the British Library in October, which has caused a major ongoing IT outage. Rhysida is auctioning off the data it reportedly stole from the United Kingdom's national library systems. The gang is accepting bids from interested parties over the next seven days.
