MSSP Market News: Building Cybersecurity into Backups, New Ransomware Group Rises

Cyber incident alert

Happy Monday to you. In the last almost two years on this job, a concern I've heard from MSPs and MSSPs is about the integrity of their customers' backups. Dwell time of cyber criminals can be so long that backups are impacted, too.

Among today's MSSP Market Updates we've got a few pieces of news that are designed to address that -- partnerships between BDR vendors and cybersecurity vendors.

Today we've also got updates about breach vertical industry targets, some new personnel announcements, in increase in attacks by a particular cybercriminal group, and Cisco's Software Security Advisory.

Got news you want to share with us? Please send it to me, Jessica C. Davis at [email protected].
