1. ConnectWise Announces CEO Transition: ConnectWise has announced that former Forcepoint CEO Manny Rivelo has been appointed as CEO. Rivelo succeeds Jason Magee, who will step down after leading the company through unprecedented growth. Rivelo brings over 30 years of leadership experience in the technology industry. As CEO of Forcepoint, he successfully navigated the cybersecurity company through strategic growth initiatives and product innovation. 2. Absolute Security Adds AI Threat Insights Module: Absolute Security, a specialist in enterprise cyber resilience, has brought to market AI Threat Insights. This new threat detection capability is now available through the Absolute Secure Access Security Service Edge (SSE) offering. With the AI Threat Insights module activated, customers using Absolute to continuously monitor all network traffic across PC fleets can detect and act against zero-day threats, ransomware, other malware and suspicious user, device and application behaviors, the company said.

3. Exabeam Chief Product Officer Publishes Book on LLM Security: Exabeam, an AI-driven security operations provider, has announced the release of “The Developer's Playbook for Large Language Model Security,” authored by Chief Product Officer Steve Wilson. The book provides an in-depth exploration of the security challenges posed by large language models (LLMs) and offers hands-on strategies for addressing these emerging risks.

4. Cyolo Releases Secure Remote Access Solution: Cyolo has brought to market Cyolo PRO (Privileged Remote Operations) with Intelligent Supervision for Operational Technology, an AI-powered supervision capability that simplifies the oversight process while enhancing security and operational efficiency in critical environments. Intelligent Supervision will significantly ease the burden of manual oversight on administrators and supervisors by leveraging AI to analyze, summarize and automate supervision of privileged and critical sessions, Cyolo said.

5. JumpCloud Unveils Partner Program: JumpCloud has launched the JumpCloud Partner Program. The new program will incorporate a four-tiered system for JumpCloud MSPs and value-added resellers. This system recognizes and rewards different levels of commitment, expertise and collaboration, the company said.

6. KELA Launches Identity Protection Solution: KELA, a specialist in cyber threat and exposure intelligence solutions, has launched Identity Guard, a first-line-of-defense solution to help combat compromised corporate assets and identities. Identity Guard is a critical module of KELA's threat intelligence platform, already in use by hundreds of customers, including government agencies, law enforcement and enterprises, the company said.

7. Emerson, Nozomi Networks Partnership Secures Critical Power and Water: Global software and technology provider Emerson and Nozomi Networks, an operational technology (OT) and Internet of Things security provider, have extended their agreement to more effectively address the growing demand for OT cybersecurity services and solutions in the power and water industries. Emerson now offers Nozomi Networks’ advanced solutions for industrial control system cyber resiliency and real-time operational visibility to Emerson’s Ovation Automation Platform customers worldwide, the companies said.

8. CrowdStrike Exec to Apologize for Faulty Update: A senior executive at CrowdStrike will apologize at an appearance before a U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee on October 1 for the company's faulty software update that caused a global IT outage in July. Adam Meyers, senior vice president for counter adversary operations at CrowdStrike, will tell the House Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection subcommittee that CrowdStrike released a content configuration update for its Falcon Sensor security software that resulted in system crashes worldwide. 9. Cybersecurity Success Requires Full Organizational Support, CompTIA Reports: Cybersecurity is the top technology priority for the vast majority of organizations, but moving from aspiration to reality requires a top-to-bottom commitment that many companies have yet to make, according to new research released by CompTIA, a nonprofit association for the technology industry and workforce. CompTIA's "State of Cybersecurity 2025" report reveals that cybersecurity is a primary or secondary priority for 98% of organizations. Yet only 25% of survey respondents feel that the overall direction of cybersecurity is improving dramatically, and only 22% characterize their organization's cybersecurity efforts as completely satisfactory.
