1. Wing Security Launches SaaS Pulse: Wing Security, a specialist in SaaS security, has unveiled SaaS Pulse, a free tool for SaaS security management that offers organizations actionable insights and continuous oversight into their SaaS security posture. The tool continuously monitors threats from issues like critical misconfigurations, offboarding errors and user access risks, providing security teams with a SaaS security risk assessment and a simple dashboard so they can understand their risks and prioritize mitigations quickly and efficiently, the company said.
2. Blue Mantis Receives Investment: Recognize, a private equity firm focused on investing in technology services businesses, has made a majority investment in Blue Mantis, a specialist in managed services, cybersecurity and cloud solutions. Abry Partners, which has backed the company since 2020, will continue as a minority investor in the company. Blue Mantis services mid-market and enterprise clients with a North American focus across multiple vertical markets, including business services, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing and public sector.
3. MicroSec Launches CyberAssessor: MicroSec, a specialist in operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS) cybersecurity, has launched CyberAssessor for OT/ICS, an AI-based automated cybersecurity assessment platform specifically designed for performing IEC 62443 assessments, the company said. This platform automates the assessment process and enhances compliance evaluation accuracy across sites and down to the device level, including third-party equipment, hardware and software.
4. Astrix Security Partners with GuidePoint Security: Astrix Security, a non-human identity (NHI) security provider, and GuidePoint Security, a cybersecurity services and solutions provider, have formed a strategic partnership to help their customers secure and manage non-human identities across their corporate and production environments. Customers can gain visibility and control over non-human identities, reduce attack surfaces significantly, respond to NHI attacks in real-time with non-human ITDR, and manage the lifecycle of NHIs from creation to expiration, the company said.
5. B-FY Offers Online ID Fraud and Cybercrime Solution: B-FY, a human authentication company, has unveiled technology that it says "eradicates online identity fraud and cybercrime." In an era where cybercriminals continue to exploit vulnerabilities in online transactions, B-FY's innovation promises to end this threat by ensuring that only the real operator is identified and authenticated during transactions, the company said.
6. Compliance Scorecard Commits to Secure by Design: Compliance Scorecard, a governance-as-a-service solution provider created by MSPs for MSPs, has signed the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Secure By Design Pledge. Navigating regulatory frameworks, such as HIPAA, FTC, NIST, and CMMC, presents significant challenges, requiring continuous adaptation and adherence to evolving industry standards. Compliance Scorecard’s GaaS platform simplifies this process for MSPs, helping them manage policies efficiently, stay compliant with regulations and mitigate risks like data breaches, fines and reputational harm, the company said.
7. Russian GRU Group Behind NATO, EU Cyberattacks: Germany's domestic intelligence agency has warned against a cyber group belonging to Russian military intelligence (GRU) Unit 29155, saying it has carried out cyberattacks against NATO and EU countries. In a post on social media platform X on Monday, the Bundesverfassungsschutz said it was issuing the warning against the group known as UNC2589 alongside the FBI, U.S. cybersecurity agency CISA, the National Security Agency (NSA) and further international partners. In its warning, the intelligence agency said the group, also known as Cadet Blizzard or Ember Bear, conducts activities for the purpose of espionage and sabotage that often involve defacing websites and publishing stolen data. 8. Ivanti Connects with the International cyberintelligence.institute: Ivanti will collaborate with the cyberintelligence.institute (CII) in Frankfurt, Germany. As a supporting member, the company aims to leverage mutual knowledge exchange, research funding, studies and analyses to further align its offerings with the cyber requirements of its customers. One approach Ivanti will advance in collaboration with CII is Secure by Design. Ivanti brings extensive expertise in secure endpoint and service management, endpoint and network security, as well as experience in optimizing security solutions and customer-oriented security to the partnership, the company said.
9. US Proposes Reporting for Advanced AI, Cloud Providers: The U.S. Commerce Department said Monday it is proposing detailed reporting requirements for advanced AI developers and cloud computing providers to ensure the technologies are safe and can withstand cyberattacks. The proposal from the department's Bureau of Industry and Security would set mandatory reporting to the federal government about development activities of "frontier" AI models and computing clusters. 10. Radware Powers Cloud Security-as-a-Service Offering: Radware, a provider of application security and delivery solutions for multi-cloud environments, has signed a MSSP agreement with Cirion Technologies, which plans to invest in Radware’s Cloud DDoS Protection Service and offer it as a service to customers across Latin America. The MSSP agreement represents an expansion of an existing channel relationship between Radware and Cirion, the companies said.
