Secureworks Launches XDR Technology Alliance Partner Program

Secureworks, a Top 250 MSSP, has expanded its global partner program to include technology alliances. The effort provides cybersecurity developers with APIs and SDKs for the Taegis managed eXtended detection and response (XDR) platform.

The technology alliance program surfaces as Secureworks continues to extend from traditional MSSP services to SaaS-based security software along with channel partner engagements.

Secureworks projects Taegis to reach $150 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by the end of January 2022, the company said in March 2021. In addition, Secureworks expects overall Taegis annual revenue will be at least $90 million to $100 million by that time.

Key Taegis partner integrations now include endpoint, network and cloud partners such as Amazon Web Services, Zscaler and Corelight, Secureworks notes.

In a prepared statement, Secureworks Chief Channel Officer Maureen Perrelli said:

“Adding integrations into Taegis is a frequent customer request, and our partners want to integrate with our technology to leverage our data and analytics, which in turn, improves security outcomes These integrations benefit all of our customers by dramatically expanding the range of telemetry that Taegis ingests.”

Secureworks Partner Program, Ownership, and CEO Transition

Wendy Thomas, CEO, Secureworks

Meanwhile, the overall Secureworks global partner program now spans more than 300 distributors, resellers and managed services providers (MSPs). And of course, Secureworks has a close partnership with parent Dell Technologies.

Dell is the majority owner of Secureworks. From time to time, rumors surface that Dell may want to spin off or sell the MSSP. The opposite rumor also occasionally surfaces, suggesting Dell may wind up acquiring all of Secureworks. Neither move has actually surfaced, however.

Amid the managed XDR push, Secureworks is also preparing for a CEO transition from to Wendy Thomas from Michael Cote in September 2021, the company announced in June 2021.
