SentinelOne, an endpoint security platform provider that works closely with MSPs, has appointed Chuck Fontana as its SVP of corporate and business development. Fontana is responsible for driving SentinelOne's integration partner ecosystem and alliance strategy, establishing technology partnerships and exploring ways to bolster the company's sales and market reach, according to a prepared statement.

Fontana previously served as VP of strategic partnerships and integrations at Okta, an identity and access management (IAM) company. He also has held multiple leadership roles at Cisco Systems.

Fontana joins SentinelOne at a key time. The endpoint security software provider has quietly gained considerable momentum with MSP and MSSP partners worldwide, according to MSSP Alert conversations with multiple user groups. Key partners include SolarWinds MSP -- which leverages SentinelOne in an Endpoint Detection and Response solution for partners.

Meanwhile, SentinelOne has been busy on the R&D and funding fronts. The software company in April 2020 integrated customizable dashboards and reporting capabilities into its Singularity Platform (which the company previously announced at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, California). The company also secured $200 million in Series E funding and raised its total valuation to $1.1 billion in February.

Organizations use SentinelOne's endpoint protection platform for threat prevention, detection, response and hunting across endpoints, containers, cloud workloads and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the company noted.

Furthermore, MSSPs, MSPs and managed detection and response (MDR) providers can join SentinelOne's partner program to integrate the company's endpoint protection capabilities into their offerings.
