Sophos Acquires Linux Security Software Company Capsule8

Sophos, backed by private equity firm Thoma Bravo, has acquired Capsule8, a provider of runtime visibility, detection and response software for Linux servers and containers.

Capsule8 Business Background

Capsule8, founded in 2016, has roughly 50 employees listed on LinkedIn. The startup raised $6.5 million from Intel Capital in 2019. Total funding at the time was $30 million. Earlier investors included ClearSky, Bessemer Venture Partners and Rain Capital.
