Sumo Logic Unveils Multi-Account Management Solution for MSSPs

Sumo Logic has introduced Sumo Organizations, a multi-account management solution that provides MSSPs, MSPs and managed detection and response (MDR) providers with visibility into application issues and security risks across their operations.

Sumo Organizations is built on Sumo Logic's Continuous Intelligence Platform and Cloud SIEM, the company said. It is designed to help MSSPs, MSPs and MDR providers monitor and manage operational and security intelligence.

How Does Sumo Organizations Work?

Sumo Organizations lets MSSPs, MSPs and MDR providers centralize management of multiple customer deployments, the company noted. The solution also provides users with access to customer environments via a single management interface.

Key Sumo Organizations capabilities include:

  • Point-in-time usage reporting
  • Role-based access control permissions for credit allocation and provisioning
  • Self-service provisioning and trials account creation
  • Single sign-on access to all customers
  • Support for cross-geographical deployment billing

In addition, MSSPs, MSPs and MDR providers can use Sumo Organizations to automate the collection, ingestion and analysis of application, infrastructure, security and Internet of Things (IoT) data, the company indicated. They then can use this data to generate actionable insights within seconds.

Sumo Logic Acquires DFLabs

The Sumo Organizations announcement comes after Sumo Logic in March 2021 acquired DFLabs, a security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) platform provider. Together, Sumo Logic and DFLabs plan to deliver a SOAR solution that meets the needs of MSSPs, MSPs and MDR providers.

Sumo Logic had more than 400 MSP partners as of March 2021, and its MSP channel more than doubled year over year between 2019 and 2020, CEO Ramin Sayar said in his company's earnings call on March 10, 2021. The company also continues to explore opportunities to grow its MSSP partner base.
