Trustwave, a Top 100 MSSP, has introduced the DbProtect database security scanning and testing software.
DbProtect provides data visibility and protection and compliance management capabilities, according to Trustwave. The software's features include:
- Support for major cloud services, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
- Agentless scanning that eliminates the need for scanner installation on each database.
- Real-time security alerts and continuous monitoring for cyber threats and data policy violations.
DbProtect safeguards more than 500,000 databases in organizations ranging from medium to large enterprises and government institutions, Trustwave said. It also can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud.
What Does DbProtect Mean for Trustwave?
DbProtect enables Trustwave to capitalize on a global database security market that is projected to grow.
The global database security market is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20.1 percent between 2018 and 2026, industry analyst Orian Research indicated. This sector also could be worth nearly $11 billion by 2026.
