EDTS: Top MSP Launches Cybersecurity Business Unit

Share

EDTS, a well-known managed IT services provider for midmarket customers, has launched a dedicated business unit focused entirely on cybersecurity. The new organization, called EDTS Cyber, offers network threat analysis and remediation, cybersecurity monitoring, and cyber incident response.

No doubt, EDTS already is a successful business in its own right. The 75-person IT organization serves customers from offices in Columbia and Greenville, South Carolina, Asheville, North Carolina and its headquarters in Augusta, Georgia. Moreover, EDTS was recently named to the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest- Growing Companies in America for the seventh consecutive year, the company notes.

So why introduce a dedicated cybersecurity business? "While we have long kept  data protected, today's ever-changing threat landscape takes highly specialized tools, very specific skills, and absolute focus to deliver security services at the highest level, so EDTS Cyber was formed," CEO Charles Johnson said in a prepared statement.
