Tetra Tech, a consulting and engineering firm, has purchased cybersecurity and technology services consultant Amyx for an undisclosed sum.
This is technology M&A deal number 148 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2023.
Tetra Tech, founded in 1966, is based in Pasadena, California. The company has 13,147 employees listed on LinkedIn. Tetra Tech's areas of expertise include technology solutions, resource management and disaster recovery.
Amyx, founded in 1999, is based in Reston, Virginia. The company has 411 employees listed on LinkedIn. Amyx's areas of expertise include cybersecurity, application development and risk management.
What the Amyx Acquisition Means for Tetra Tech
Amyx is joining Tetra Tech's federal information technology division, Tetra Tech CEO Dan Batrack said. It supports Tetra Tech's goal to provide innovative solutions to its customers.
In addition, Tetra Tech is integrating Amyx's cybersecurity services and technology applications into its water, environment and sustainable infrastructure operations, Batrack indicated.
Amyx also is expected to help Tetra Tech expand its cybersecurity, data analytics, digital transformation and agile software development solutions for its government and commercial customers.

To date, Tetra Tech and Amyx have not offered channel partner programs for MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers in the past. However, with the acquisition of Amyx, Tetra Tech may look to develop and launch a partner program.
