Deloitte has acquired two cybersecurity businesses to further expand the IT consulting firm's Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and government-focused capabilities. The acquisitions involve TransientX of Hoboken, New Jersey and Sentek Consulting of San Diego, California. Financial terms of each deal were not disclosed.

TransientX and Sentek Consulting Acquisitions: What Deloitte Gains
The TransientX business will tuck into the Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory organization. Headcount figures associated with the deal were not disclosed.
TransientX's software supports zero trust application networks for every user, the seller has previously indicated. Coupled with granular access control policies and visibility into application and user activities, the cloud-based solution leverages micro-containers that isolate trusted apps and provide application-level connectivity independent of the underlying physical network topology, the seller has previously stated in earlier news announcements.
In a prepared statement about the TransientX acquisition, Andrew Rafla, a Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory Zero Trust leader and principal, Deloitte & Touche, said:

Meanwhile, Sentek Consulting (also known as Sentek Global) is an engineering and cybersecurity firm primarily serving the U.S. Navy. Sentek has 195 employees listed on Linkedin.

“The acquisition of Sentek Global’s business will expand Deloitte’s existing presence in San Diego, while also bolstering our current mission-focused systems engineering capabilities and cyber offerings to other military branches and federal agencies."
Deloitte Cybersecurity Acquisitions: The List Grows
Deloitte, which has a Top 250 MSSP business unit, has been an active buyer in the cybersecurity market. Recent acquisitions include:
- Root9B (R9B) for threat hunting;
- CloudQuest for cloud security posture management (CSPM); and
- Terbium Labs for digital risk protection company.
