Foresite Cybersecurity, a Top 250 MSSP, has acquired security monitoring, management and assessment solutions provider Cyber Lantern.

Cyber Lantern's employees will join Foresite as part of the acquisition, the companies said. In addition, Foresite will integrate Cyber Lantern's capabilities into its ProVision Platform.
Cyber Lantern is the commercial cybersecurity products and services branch of Digital Lantern. It provides solutions to help organizations secure their operations against cyberattacks and comply with various data protection requirements.
Organizations can use Cyber Lantern Secure for managed detection and response (MDR), the company indicated. They also can leverage Cyber Lantern Compliance to assess their security posture.
Foresite and Cyber Lantern together will deliver SaaS compliance and security operations solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises, the companies noted. Meanwhile, Foresite customers can use Cyber Lantern's data modeling and compliance automation to understand their security posture and meet compliance requirements.
Furthermore, Cyber Lantern supports Foresite's mission of simplifying cybersecurity for SMEs, Foresite CEO Matt Gyde said. It also ensures that Foresite customers can assess, build, monitor, measure and maintain a strong security posture.
Foresite Hires MSSP, Cybersecurity Expert Mark Behan
The Cyber Lantern acquisition comes after Foresite in June 2021 hired Mark Behan as its SVP of operations. Behan oversees Foresite's operating model and previously held cybersecurity leadership roles at systems integrators Presidio and Dimension Data.
Also, Foresite appointed Gyde as its CEO in June 2021. Gyde succeeded Robin Mayo, who remains with Foresite in an undisclosed role.
Foresite specializes in cybersecurity-as-a-service. It supports 900 customers globally.
