HelpSystems has been busy on the acquisition front -- acquiring Vera in 2021, Cobalt Strike in 2020 and Core Security in 2019.

What Does the Digital Defense Acquisition Mean for HelpSystems?

Digital Defense provides HelpSystems with vulnerability management technology and penetration testing resources to broaden its cybersecurity expertise, HelpSystems CEO Kate Bolseth said. As such, HelpSystems can leverage Digital Defense's security capabilities to help its customers protect their infrastructure against cyberattacks and data breaches.

In addition, HelpSystems will leverage Digital Defense's vulnerability scanning engine to assist organizations in healthcare, legal, financial services and other industries, the company stated. The engine helps these organizations detect infrastructure security gaps and take remediation steps to guard against internal and external cyber threats.

Digital Defense offers a variety of cybersecurity services, including:

  • Penetration testing
  • Employee training
  • Risk assessment
  • Physical security testing

Digital Defense provides a multi-tenant SaaS platform that organizations can use to protect against vulnerabilities and threats, the company noted. It also employs pen testers who can conduct security assessments and help organizations find ways to improve their security posture.

Introducing the Digital Defense-LogRhythm SIEM Integration

Also this week, Digital Defense announced an integration with the LogRhythm NextGen SIEM Platform. The integrated solution lets MSPs and MSSPs deliver on-demand vulnerability management and threat assessment offerings to their customers.

Along with its LogRhythm integration for MSPs and MSSPs, Digital Defense last year unveiled a partner program for service providers. The program enables MSPs and MSSPs to incorporate Digital Defense's vulnerability management and threat assessment solutions into their portfolios.
