MDR, MSSP M&A: Allurity Acquires CSIS Security Group

Allurity, which consists of a group of cybersecurity services providers backed by private equity firm Trill Impact, has purchased CSIS Security Group for an undisclosed sum.

This is technology M&A deal number 883 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

Allurity, founded in 2021, is based in Stockholm, Sweden. The company has five employees listed on LinkedIn. Allurity's areas of expertise include identity and access management (IAM) and managed detection and response (MDR).

CSIS, founded in 2003, is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company has 99 employees listed on LinkedIn. CSIS's areas of expertise include managed security, patch management and web filtering.

With the transaction, CSIS will operate as an independent entity and retain its brand, identity and culture, Allurity noted.

Allurity Extends Its Reach in Northern Europe

CSIS supports Allurity's goal to become "Europe's preferred provider of tech-enabled cybersecurity services," the companies said. It strengthens Allurity's cybersecurity coverage in Northern Europe and allows the company to meet the security needs of European organizations.

Also, Allurity provides CSIS with access to its sister companies and their resources, CSIS CEO Daniel Shepherd said. In doing so, Allurity will help CSIS reach more customers and expand its services into new markets.

Allurity Acquires MDR Security Service Provider

The CSIS acquisition comes after Allurity in September 2022 purchased Aiuken Cybersecurity, a Top 40 MDR security provider in Europe. Aiuken offers security operations center (SOC), cloud security and SOCaaS platforms that Allurity will integrate into its portfolio, the companies indicated.

Along with CSIS and Aiuken, Allurity has acquired the following Swedish cybersecurity companies:
