MSSP Acquisition: Cerberus Cyber Sentinel Buys Cuatroi

Credit: Cerberus

Cerberus Cyber Sentinel, a Top 250 MSSP and managed compliance services provider, has purchased MSSP Cuatroi for an undisclosed sum.

This is technology M&A deal number 760 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

Cerberus, founded in 2015, is based in Scottsdale, Arizona. The company has 204 employees listed on LinkedIn. Cerberus' areas of expertise include security, compliance, risk mitigation, breach and incident response, CISO-as-a-service and data protection.

Cuatroi, founded in 2010, is based in Providencia, Chile. The company has 70 employees listed on LinkedIn. Cuatroi's areas of expertise include cloud computing and IT asset management.

Cerberus Expands Its Cybersecurity Services in Latin America

Cuatroi will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Cerberus, the companies said. In addition, Cuatroi CEO Alejandro Torchio will continue to manage the company's team of professionals and work closely with its leadership team in Latin America.

Furthermore, Cuatroi supports Cerberus' growth strategy in Latin America, Cerberus CEO David Jemmett stated. Cuatroi also previously partnered with Cerberus' Arkavia Networks team in Chile (Cerberus acquired Arkavia in December 2021).

Cerberus Promotes Ashley Devoto to President, Buys CyberViking

The Cuatroi acquisition comes after Cerberus in August 2022 named CISO Ashley Devoto as its president. Devoto remains Cerberus' CISO and leads global cybersecurity strategy and operations, the company noted.

Cerberus, in July 2022, acquired CyberViking, an application security and incident response company. CyberViking provides cybersecurity healthcare and industrial controls systems expertise and supports Cerberus' international growth, Jemmett said.

Cerberus remains focused on acquiring cybersecurity, secure managed services and compliance businesses, the company indicated. It has primarily leveraged shares in the company rather than cash to acquire MSPs and MSSPs nationwide, SEC filings reveal.
