MSSP Cerberus Sentinel Acquires Chilean Cybersecurity Company Arkavia Networks

Cerberus Sentinel, a Top 250 MSSP, has acquired Chilean cybersecurity services provider Arkavia Networks SPA. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is technology M&A deal number 762 that ChannelE2E and MSSP Alert have covered so far in 2021.

Arkavia will help Cerberus execute its growth strategy throughout Latin America, CEO David Jemmett said. It will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Cerberus and serve as the MSSP's South American headquarters.

Arkavia was founded in 2010 and specializes in data network and computer security. It offers the following security solutions:

  • Application security
  • Connectivity and optimization
  • Endpoint security
  • Information security consulting
  • Perimeter security

Arkavia delivers its security solutions to organizations in financial services, telecommunications and other sectors. It also has established partnerships with Check Point Software Technologies, Fortinet and other cybersecurity companies.

The Arkavia acquisition comes after Cerberus in October 2021 purchased Red74, a risk management and IT security service provider. Cerberus is using Red74 to bolster its managed security services offerings, the company said.

Red74 remains focused on providing integrated risk managed services, the company indicated. It operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Cerberus.

Cerberus is growing internationally and within North America. It also looks poised to continue to expand its managed security services portfolio in the foreseeable future.
