Pcysys Automated Penetration Testing Raises $10 Million

Share

Pcysys, an automated penetration testing platform provider, has raised $10 million in a Series A funding round led by Awz Ventures and Blackstone, lifting total financing to date to $15 million. The company will use the Series A funding to explore ways to extend its global penetration testing market reach.

Pcysys's PenTera platform delivers "automated penetration testing with the click of a button," according to the company. It enables organizations to continuously conduct tests based on infrastructure vulnerabilities to identify security weaknesses and validate their security posture.

PenTera also allows organizations to re-test and verify corrective actions consistently, Pcysys noted. This ensures that organizations can guard against cyber threats as their attack surfaces grow.

Pcysys Offers Penetration Testing as a Service to MSSPs

Pcysys in May launched PenTera Service Provider (SP), which enables MSSPs to purchase licenses for penetration-test instances to deliver penetration testing-as-a-service. Furthermore, MSSPs can resell PenTera SP.

Also, Pcysys offers a partner program that allows MSSPs to run penetration tests for customers. With the program, MSSPs can buy Pen-Test Credits and use them in conjunction with PenTera SP to run penetration tests.

In addition to PenTera, Israeli cybersecurity solutions provider BitDam in April launched a free email security penetration testing tool for MSSPs and other organizations.

Bitdam's email security penetration testing tool enables organizations to conduct a controlled assessment that includes file-based cyberattacks, the company said. Then, emails that reach the determined test inbox indicate a cybersecurity point of failure.
